GERDDES AFRICA DENOUNCES THE “ASSASSINATION” OF SADDAM HUSSEIN | GERDDES AFRICA DENOUNCES THE “ASSASSINATION” OF SADDAM HUSSEIN |
|
The execution of the ex-dictator, Saddam Hussein, constitutes the assassination of a war prisoner of which should answer early or late, his authors, whoever they are Iraqi or not.
That indeed:1. The rights of this war prisoner of war were violated by the invading and “victorious” power. 2. This war prisoner was exposed to a parody of justice by his gaolers. 3. This prisoner of war was delivered to the revenge on the “torturers” (executioners) by his gaolers, in all knowledge of cause (in full knowledge of the facts). 4. The justice organized by the invader was not equitable (lawyers of the prisoner assassinated and single judge of the Trial, isolated and replaced towards the end by a judge who is unaware of all the evidence, elements of the lawsuit and which buckled it in some audiences). 5. The precipitated execution of the sentence, in an environment of revenge could not be ignored by the occupying power and is a true assassination that cannot honour the principles, however defended of the end of the lips ?? by the invader. 6. This war crime cannot remain unpunished, the convention of war being valid for all, big and small. Delivered at Cotonou, on January 3,2007 |
