The GERDDES AFRICA (Group Studies and of Research on the Democracy and Economic development and Social) is a COInG Panafrican not partisane created on May 19, 1990 by executives and intellectual African different backgrounds (lawyers, lawyers, economists, professors university, civils servant international, engineers, etc). Its objective is to make the promotion and the monitoring of the democracy to accelerate economic development and social continent.

 The head office of the GERDDES AFRICA is located at Cotonou (BENIGN). It is present in 32 countries Africa of West, of the Center, Is and South through the national GERDDES of which it makes promotion in Angola, Bénin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroun, Congo, Côte Ivory, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Equatoriale, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Central African Republic, Democratic republic of Congo, South Africa Republic, Senegal, Chad, Togo and of the correspondents of his network in the other countries. It counts more than 2.000 members and ambitionne to cover all the continent.
